Sookie’s face, nothing to say.

Her face speaks volumes.  When looking at Bill, there’s a weight to her expression. She’s pensive…totally in her head.  When she looks at Eric, there’s a lightness to her face. It’s open and caring, with a little bit of hope tossed in….a reflection of her heart.
The look on the men’s faces are of note, too. Bill has a darker, brooding expression, while Eric has a distant, yet sad look to him.
I think when Eric was kneeling waiting for Bill to shoot him, he was aware of what Sookie felt for Eric.  She eyed Eric tragically, while crying, seemingly devastated at the prospect of him dying.  Notably, we see Bill turn to look at Sookie at this moment. I think he knows just how much she loves Eric and we see that expression on his face, with this look in the aftermath of MGE a continuation of that realization.

Couldn’t have said it better.

I find the men’s expressions telling, too. Bill has is patented bitchface on. Like someone owes him money or something. And Eric’s eyes are questioning, hopeful. :)

I split them up to make it look clearer for the discussion’s sake:

Ew. This does not look very loving, or even happy. They almost look hostile towards each other. hsm7 picked the perfect word for Sookie: “pensive”. What is she thinking so hard about though? Remains to be seen. Bill looks straight up like a little brat being dragged out of a candy shop.

HUGE difference in Sookie’s whole demeanor. Her head is up higher, her eyebrows raised, her whole face is more responsive. You can tell she’s standing up straighter too. Eric looks like he physically can’t take his eyes off Sookie. There’s sadness and seriousness, yes. But there’s also curiosity, and you can almost see that spark in his eye. Nowhere near accusatory, unlike Bill.
Another scene in which Bill and Eric are juxtaposed, and Bill just isn’t “up to snuff” :)

They, all of them, have been through something tremendous together just now. Less than have an hour before the men offered to lay down their lives for hers. There are all sorts of speculations I won’t go into about whether they had a plan, or would have gone through with it, or whatever. But I don’t doubt at least one thing: Eric would have. He already sacrificed himself once (if not more) for Sookie. She knows that, she has said so herself.
With Bill there’s always doubt. If he has proven anything it’s that his most altruistic acts could be a lie and hiding an agenda. Now that the immediate danger is over, it’s something to ponder.
But I don’t think it’s what she is doing at the moment. In this instance, I think, if Sookie is pondering anything, it’s her own feelings for these two men. It’s how much she can trust those feelings, and how much of them is the blood talking. And her face kind of says it clearly how she instinctively feels in regards to both.
It’s Bill’s bitch face that’s a bit of a mystery. Like, what is he so pissed about? They got Marnie, Sookie didn’t die, they didn’t die, and he’d just recently filled Sookie up with a fresh “tank” of his blood. You’d think the guy would be jumping with joy and anticipation. Instead, he really does look like a 6-year-old brat being denied toys. :)

If I didn’t think Bill had a secret plan in motion outside of Moon Goddess before, I sure do now.
Just throwing another idea out there: It’s no secret Bill doesn’t like Eric, and if some other theories are right, he’s been gunning at Eric for over a year now. If the little suicide pact had gone down, how would normal bullets have killed him and Eric? Was Bill maybe a little to conveniently prepared with some wooden bullets, wooden bullets that Pam wouldn’t have (so Pam couldn’t kill him)? That would have to mean that Bill saw this coming…
I’m not going to go any deeper into that, I’m just going to say thank Godric Pam intervened the way she did!!

I’m pretty convinced there’s something we do not know about that scene. It just doesn’t make much sense without another layer. Bill is thinking: “Curses! Foiled again!” or something like it, and Eric is thinking “Can she love me?”
I agree with SH — Sookie is thinking about her own feelings, and they are written all over her face.

The things i miss when i sleep.
Damn!

This just confirms that I suck at interpreting people’s faces.  I could tell that Sookie gave different looks to Bill and Eric, but I couldn’t really understand them. She’s clearly thinking, but the emotion was hard to read for me. I think Sookie is always giving a mixed facial expression when it comes to Bill—just like in the sex scenes, it’s always a mixture of pleasure and pain. Here it seems like she’s trying to reassure Bill, but having to do so pains her. With Eric, it’s like she’s trying not to become emotional, but she can’t quite hide the wonder and hope and sadness that she feels. Bill is giving his drama queen/I’m a tragic victim of circumstances look, while Eric looks open and hopeful. That’s the best I could do.

That’s not a bad interpretation. :)
Sookie usually looks conflicted with Bill, because she is conflicted about him. A lot of her feelings for him are manipulated by his blood, but that doesn’t mean she doesn’t feel them as if they were real. And knowing what she knows, yet feeling what she feels, it’s hardly a wonder she can’t figure it out once and for all. It will take time. With Eric, there’s no such conflict. She knows exactly how she feels, and she admits that she felt that way for a long time. But she also cannot simply go with it, because of all the rest of the inner conflict. It’s a tough emotional place for her, and it’s clear, looking at this, that the seeds of that need to walk away from both and figure out what it is that she truly wants were forming right here.

fangnation:

This is interesting, I have never seen this before. It is a deleted scene from S01E01. Claudine is seen helping Sookie.  BUT what I really noticed was Bill. Take a look at the 5th gif, he sees Claudine hiding in the woods, Claudine notices this and then proceeds to ran away. Hmmm?? Bill saw Claudine (the fae) the very first night he met Sookie! How much did he know back then?

Here is the link to the video:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7JH6DDfsJ8Y

It was said that they deleted the scene because it was giving away too much too soon. It was assumed that the part being given away was Claudine and who/what she is and why she was helping Sookie. But it’s also very probable that this was giving away the fact that Bill knew about the fairies/Sookie’s origins all along.

We’ve speculated about that, even without this scene. Sophie-Anne certainly knew. She didn’t send him for a telepath, she sent him for a fairy she wanted to use as a “sunscreen,” so she could buy a yacht (or however it is she put it). The assumption was that she didn’t tell Bill this, but I think she did.

The way she talked when Bill finally called her to come and “pick up” Sookie, it was clear she wasn’t revealing anything to Bill he did not know already. And how would Sophie-Anne know Bill had a heart-to-heart with Claudine when he was tripping on too much Sookie blood? I doubt he had shared that tidbit with the Queen. I say Bill knew all along. It’s just one more lie in the series of unending lies he told Sookie.

How I read this:
“Despite the fact that Franklin was obviously a psychopathic, homicidal rapist, there was a lot of whimsy in the way he just didn’t give a shit about anything… You know, even though that particular brand of whimsy was largely due to his being a psychopath. Anyway, it doesn’t matter to me that Tara absolutely hated vampires, ESPECIALLY FRANKLIN (and mostly because of Franklin), it would have been really fun to watch poor Tara get raped and abused for all eternity because I LOL at all of Franklin kkkkaaaa-RAZY antics!! Get it, bruh!”

Thank you.

Indeed. This “confessor” wishes that Franklin actually succeeded in not just raping Tara but killing her, too. So he can then keep on raping her for all eternity. Wouldn’t that have been just darling?!
Ugh. Some people. I would like to think they have missed the entire point of this storyline, but I fear they are mostly missing a lot of therapy.

Another thing to add:

nwalmn:

I think @EPBA’s did (or should done hahah) this, but this shower scene is not the only one that revolves Bill and drains. Or better, metaphor of Sookie’s relationships and drains/tubs/bathrooms.

There is at least one scene per season with Bill + drains or/and bathroom porcelain + blood. Now, i know some like to think I/we overthink things, and…well, maybe? But as someone who enjoy overthink and as someone that works with metaphors for something else and psychological influence in people, i tend to see this little tips. Maybe they do it as a joke “look, since we start this on episode 1, we should just continue down the path, ONE MORE clue, if they didn’t catch it already”. But i love this little things.

And awesome thing?

When is Bill and Sookie shower scene, the drain is bloody.

When is Eric and Sookie shower scene, the bathroom is clean.

Wonder why :)

(no, i know why)

Shower scene Bill and Sookie, the drain:

There is also episode 1x09 when Bill killed Longshadow. I know it’s not the same as the shower scene but also shows to us the path this is leading on:

There are probably other instances with Bill + drain + blood but i don’t remember.

Now look the bathroom porcelain floor in Eric and Sookie shower/*swoon*/Narnia scene:

“WHAT, WHAT HAPPENED WHO CLEANED THE TUB?”

(DAMN, even his foot is cute)

And YES they (writers) are saying something, specially because THERE IS some blood in that scene (Sookie and Eric had exchanged blood), so where is the blood? why not to show it?

And i can’t remember other ones, but i have a nagging feeling there is more.

Just a silly post.

It’s not a silly post at all! It’s a damn observant one. :)

And never apologize for over-thinking. Why is that a bad thing? Why thinking about things and trying to analyze them is considered a negative? Sure the conclusions aren’t always on the money — this isn’t hard science — but the process is a worthy one.

Anyway, thank you for this! And yes, it’s significant that the there is no flow of blood in Sookie and Eric’s shower. There could have been, but markedly wasn’t. :)

When Sookie and Bill have sex, why is it that Bill just has to bite her? He is a greedy liar and manipulator who wants Sookie’s blood all day, everyday…and will do anything to get it. I mean, Sookie is having sex with the man she loves. She feel good, sexy, heated up…and he bites her. I’m sure his fangs digging into her neck hurts! So, from going to horny to in pain…no. What is wrong with you Bill?

  1. Their first time - he had to bite her. I know Sookie told him to, but still…
  2. When Bill busted out of his grave and scared the crap out of Sookie. He then took her right then and there, raped her, and bit her.
  3. Episode 2x01, their make-up sex…couldn’t let her have that one either, could you, Beehl?
  4. Episode 3x08, the ending, when the have sex…he must have bit her because in the shower scene of 3x09, she has holes in her neck

It is ridiculous! Hmm…how many times did Eric bite Sookie during sex? Let’s count…

.

.

.

Pretty much THIS!

Bill’s motives are questionable here, and we might get a reveal this season, if he was up to no good. When he realised Sookie was in danger in season 2, because of Rene, he nearly died trying to save her.In his twisted love/obsession for Sookie, if push came to shove, I think he would sacrifice himself. But because she has made it clear that they are over, it might be a different story now.

In both sets, Sookie’s tone matches that of the man she’s looking at. So it’s just another instance in which Bill is dragging her down, and Eric is bringing her up.
This also serves as another scene in which Bill and Eric are juxtaposed, and Bill just isn’t “up to snuff” :)

Okay so Russell is wearing the same green jacket the he was when he was buried in cement.  There is sort of a glow and blur around that image, leading me to think it is a flashback of his rescue.  The person that is pulling off his sheet/cover is wearing a hat (looks like a hat to me).  Could it be the same hat that we see in the first trailer?  There was a comment by Michael Mcmillian stating to watch out for guys in hats and raincoats.  I cant remember where I heard this exactly.  Could the guy in the hat and raincoat be Newlin? Could the person pulling the cover off Russell be Newlin?  Dumb idea?  The hat in the bottom gif seems to look wide, we really cant see how wide the other hat (top gif) is.  Help me..

It’s an idea that has been floated. But it would be contingent some things: Who turned Newlin (it couldn’t have been Russell, because Newlin was still alive and very much posturing on TV when all the Russell drama went down)? Is the person who turned Newlin somehow connected to Russell? Are they commending Newlin to dig Russell up?

Some people think that the person unwrapping Russell in the top .gif is a woman (something about the gloved hands looking more like female hands than male). Personally, I have no idea either way. It’s a little hard to tell from such a split-second moment.

Someone digging Russell up has to leave you to wonder, how did they know about him in the first place? Eric and Bill knew because they were there, and Alcide let them use the property. So who else knew, unless one of Russell’s minions had been keeping an eye on them, which I kind of doubt.

Well, Pam knew. Which is why we see Eric questioning her about it in one of the previews. I don’t think she is the one who spilled (or dug Russell up herself), and I don’t think Eric seriously believes that she would. But that’s the list of people who knew, as far as we are aware: Bill, Eric, Pam, Alcide. Sookie knew they were taking Russell somewhere, but she didn’t know where, and she thought they killed him.

It does indeed beg the question of who would dig him up. I don’t think one of Russell’s henchmen was watching. It’s too convenient.

There is one possibility. When Bill double crossed Eric and tried to bury him in cement, Eric got out of there by “calling” his progeny — Pam. Calling not on the phone, of course (which was taken by Bill anyway), but summoning with that special maker/progeny connection. This is how Pam was able to find Eric and dig him out of the still fresh cement.

Who is to say Russell didn’t have another progeny he could call, too? He was near 3,000 years old, I doubt Talbot was the only vampire he made. Let’s say he made the “call.” But clearly whoever that progeny would be, they weren’t anywhere near enough to get to Russell immediately. It took a while, perhaps as long as a year, to locate and then dig out Russell.

All of this is just a conjecture, of course. Based on the assumption that none of the four in the know did or say anything.

Of course there is another theory, the one I personally would love, but alas, might not come true. :) Which is that Alcide is the one who was on Russell’s payroll, so to speak, and that he is the one who dug him up.

And I want to see what happened to Russell after he was dug up and then what happened to Newlin, who apparently may or may not be the one digging him up or in the car.

I can’t wait to watch!

Ditto.

I’ve seen some people suggesting that Bill having a shower with Sookie is an example of their love for one another. If that is the case, I’m kind of worried as it is a carbon copy of the shower scene from Psycho. If you haven’t seen it, here’s a number of gifs from the version made in 1998. The pictures to the right are from Psycho as it might be hard to tell the difference. If this is love, what does hate look like?

The hints to Psycho are all there, and they are pretty blatant imho. Yes, it is a sensual scene, but it also carries an extremely ominous undertone. It’s almost the death toll for Bill and Sookie as a couple. In this scene, they couldn’t have made it clearer that their relationship is sickeningly a matter of blood.

Excatly, carbon copy.I would agree that there are elements of sensuality to certain parts of this scene, bar the creepy neck grab, biting, days after the near draining,(major violation) and blood down the drain. It screams the beginning of the end for them, and emphasis Bill’s bloodlust, total selfishness and lack of real care for Sookie at the core.

Even at the beginning of the episode before they cut to the shower scene, we have Ginger screaming at Fangtasia as Eric is silvered. The camera literally goes down her throat. Much like the original Psycho :)

Yeah, I love Alan Ball. Because he “loves” Bill. Not.

Alan Ball has set Bill for a major fall. I suspect we will see something major this season. Perhaps those ghosts that are visiting Lafayette, have some light to shine on Mr. Compton.
